Before you get a chance to proof the ownership of a website, you firsst have to verify that the website really is yours.

There are over 60 verification rules, to ensure the best quality URL is being used. This includes DNS lookups and a query to the webserver.
Only when your URL is validated, you will get to see the proof options. Clicking on the check mark will show you the check trace displayed on the left.
Various proofs are provided. These all mimic existing practices by other website ownership verfication tools.
